New Officers for Housing Council
The St. Lawrence County Housing Council, Inc., now in its 28th year of service to St. Lawrence County residents, has announced the election of new officers and members to its Board of Directors. The Board will be led by Sean Partridge of Potsdam, as new President, assisted by Theresa Phalon of Canton as Vice-President. Vicki Oakes of Pierrepont will serve as Secretary and The Rev. Bill Cuthbert of Potsdam as Treasurer. New directors are: Cheryl Rabbitt of Stockholm, Jim Murphy of Potsdam, and Charlotte Dean of Edwards. Continuing directors include: Jason Pfotenhauer, Canton; Barbara McBurnie, Parishville; Mike Davis, Canton; and Andrew McAdoo, Potsdam. Donna Niles and David Swanson are Honorary Members of the Board.
The Housing Council also has announced its new website: www.SLCHC.org which offers in-depth information regarding the programs which the not-for-profit agency offers to the residents and communities of St. Lawrence, in pursuit of its vision that "every resident of St. Lawrence County should have access to decent and affordable housing in vital and vibrant communities."
The Housing Council is a chartered member of NeighborWorks America, a national organization including more than 240 groups providing similar services to communities across the United States. As a chartered member, the St. Lawrence County Housing Council, Inc., is certified to meet a high standard of
fiscal integrity and service performance to assist local residents in developing leadership, improving their neighborhoods, and securing decent, affordable housing.
